BeoSound 5 Encore setup with BeoVision 7
I am considering purchasing a second BeoVision 7 (40" 3D) for the bed room and would like to somehow configure this with a BeoSound 5 Encore. I know the Encore has no ML connection, but has anyone used the line out or line in through a Bang & Olufsen TV? I don't want a regular Beosound 5 because I don't care for the external box, limited HDD capacity, and extra cables. I like the look of the BS-5, but if that doen't work, I guess I can always use another Apple Mac Mini like I have in the BV7-55 setup downstairs.
BeoVision 7-55 3D, BeoSound 9000, BeoSound 8, BeoLab 7-6, BeoLab Penta III, BeoLab 8000, BeoLab 6000, BeoLab 2, LC-1, BeoTime (analog clock), Form 1 headphones, Beo 4 remote.

Re: BeoSound 5 Encore setup with BeoVision 7
Hungedu,
The line in on the BeoSound 5 encore has as other digital device's a delay of 1second. So you will have a lipsync problem. The other way around is maybe posibble but you will need a powerlink to cinch cable because the beoSound 5 encore only has powerlink out.
Then you have to turn your beosound 5 encore on on CD and then turn your BeoVision 7 40 on to camera or Aux to get the sound throug the speakers. You als have 2 volume controls. your tv and beosound 5 encore. Not a perfect sollution.

Bummer. I was afraid of that. Hopefully BeoSound 5 Encore MKII will have ML capability. Guess I'll wait. Thanks for the info!

Re: BeoSound 5 Encore setup with BeoVision 7
I'm not a fan of AppleTV. I had the first generation model and replaced it with the Mini after it erased itself one day without warning. All of my movies are 1080P and 720P HD content, but for streaming music, it would be a sensible solution - especially for the price. I'll consider it. Thanks for the suggestion!

You're welcome! I know that alot of the guys are very keen on this method especially Edouard and Moxxie! I like the simplicity of the ATV2 over ATV1.
Good luck with it all. Im sure that it will sound fantastic!

Hi,
It's no problem if you use a bosscom powerlink switch and powerlink from tv thru box and then to front speaker
also powerlink from encore thru box , and then you can choose if tv or encore have priority and then take ocer from the other
