Beocord 2200 Refurb project

Hello everybody Big Smile

3 firsts for me with this project

First post on a forum
First piece of B&O gear
First tape deck project

Tim Jarman has a lot to answer for!

Did not get long to listen to the player before the play button started clicking up. What I did hear sounded crisp, clear and relaxed, so hope to continue with this project, but wanted to confirm that spare belts are still available before I invest in the maintenance manuals.

Will also need

a lamp for the power switch
a lamp for the LHS VU meter
small square push button for the tape counter reset
lots of guidance and help, especially with set up for recording

Can anybody confirm the availability of belts and is there anybody about who has refettled this deck?

Hi and welcome here!

The belts are indeed available. I'm not sure Martin (aka Dillen here) has finalized his kit, just ask him: he's a dedicated (nay, more than that!) B&O fan and he is always kind and helpful. He has his kits re-manufactured specially, and they are not generic eBay items. Wink

I have some spare parts (the lamps, the push-button), you can send me a PM.

My Beocord 2200 works very well and it is indeed worth repairing... I guess you saw the Hi-Fi World article!

Also some hints here.

Tim is nice and helpful, but he's easier to contact on his Beocentral website!

Yes it was Hi fi World. Have been looking out for one in decent cosmetic order for a while. Thanks for the link and the friendly welcome!

Your 2200 pictures show there is some serious cleaning to be done to my machine! Looks good.

I will PM you as soon as I work out how.
