    Beolit Bluetooth... By Bose!

I was at the Bose SoundLink press launch, and found that this new portable speaker has a retro style which remembers me the Beolit.

I am the only one with a Beovirus to see a Beolit there?

(by the way, it's a cool little speaker, ultra small, sounds correct (not natural, but correct, and for this size it's impressive), no problem with water or when dropped, and starts at €299 in black+nylon, €349 in grey+leather). It works via Bluetooth so that it can work anywhere with any BT device.

    I just received mine today!

I have to say that I'm impressed by the sound and the power of this little speaker. Far much better than my BSound3 and of course not as good than my BSound8 (but for the third of the price and the size). It has no problem to fill a small 25sqm room. Sometime a bit too much bass... but it depends as well on where it is placed in the room. The build quality is very good with brushed metal parts and a leather 'flap / stand'.

    I love it.

I admit it looks cute. Worth listening to I suppose.

Yes, reminds me of that B&O radio of the 70s!  BOSE are amazing for the price. In the UK the SoundDock has just had a price decrease by BOSE! Oh how i miss my BOSE AM5's...

    eww! Bose

I'm sure it sounds good. Probably vocice matched to all the rest of the bose products as far as bass goes and all. I just wonder how late do I have to stay up for infomercials to order one when I get home from a late night drinking, is it gonna be before the 'amazing Wave radio' with (when you call now) additional 6 disc changer or after it.

That's all I got resuming relatively unbiased 'hear'...

Just saw this new Bose speaker at the local store.

I have never owned a Bose product but was considering a purchase of the noise cancelling headphones, so I went in to the local Bose store. While in the store I saw the new SoundLink and it was displayed on an old mint condition Coleman cooler.....very retro.

This speaker is heavy so not as portable as you would think. The sound was good. The style great. Rumor off of these boards is that BnO is going to produce something similar.

As of this moment, I have yet to own a Bose product.

Thank you for the post on this model.

It is a good idea, well thought out with the cover, and it looks good. It reminds me more of some of the British Roberts 1950's models.

I have a good collection of portable radios restored over the years, including most of the Roberts, Zenith Transoceanic, and Grundig models. After looking and listening to this one this weekend, I will wait to see what B&O has to offer along this line.
