Hi all,
Some of you might already know that I am setting up another apartment. As I ll have a BeoLab2000 installed I am wiling to design everything fine and build up the bigger picture. Right now I am looking for:
ad 1 ) Water heater
http://www.amazon.de/Siemens-TW911P2-Wasserkocher-Porsche-Design/dp/B000AJL6RW
ad 2 ) Toaster
http://www.amazon.de/Siemens-TT911P2-Langschlitz-Toaster-Porsche-Design/dp/B000AJL3BQ/ref=pd_sim_k_1
ad 3 ) Cafe Maker
http://www.amazon.de/Siemens-TC911P2-Thermo-Kaffeemaschine-Porsche-Design/dp/B000AJKQRI/ref=pd_sim_k_2
Do you have any other stylish items in mind I might consider instead of the Porsche-Siemens design?
Thanks in advance
Larskoelle

Hi Steffen,
looks great. A little bit like the cafe maker I have seen in the US earlier this year.
I ll double check if there are some other tools available in the same design.
Thank you

I can't agree more.
I have Miele in my kitchen
(fridge, vitroceramic plates) and the same for my laundry (washing and drying machines).
They last a long long time...

I have a Miele fridge and Vacume Cleaner and will buy Miele Washing Machine and DIshwasher when the Neff ones finally pack up - German products seem to last forever and much better quality/looks than others.
I do have Siemens Kettle, Coffee Maker and Toaster - these are not as good - kettles are prone to leaking and the toaster can be eratic - i.e one day it does it properly teh next underdone. The Coffee Maker is excellent though and the vacume flask means that you don't get stewed coffee - I've used it every day for years and love it. Even with shortcomings I still think they look the best and function fine though not as good as you would expect at that price point. I'd replace them with Siemens again if they broke,.

Dualit Kettle seems to be the way forward. I have a Kitchenaid (50s style) toaster that used to 'beep' when the toast is done and it doesnt anymore.

Concerning toasters, I'm in love with my Kenwood tt980: it's design is totally seamless, full brushed aluminum... And the toast automatically lift silently (just the sound of the bell to inform you that it's done). I think that with this magical mechanical movement, it's the B&O of toasters!
But seeing the reviews on the Internet, it seems that it's not very reliable... I'm crossing my fingers, but actually, it has worked for years!!
