    BeoSound 5 Encore with Penta III Speakers (Data Through PowerLink)

    Has anyone tried this connection yet? I'm curious if the BeoSound 5 Encore transmits any data through its powerlink connection. I recently sold off my BeoCenter 2500 that was once connected to my Pentas, and I'm planning on replacing it with the BS-5 Encore. Hopefully, some data, like Volume level will still be shown in the Penta's display. I really liked that warm, green glow in a dark room. :-)

     

    BeoVision 7-55 3D, BeoSound 9000, BeoSound 8, BeoLab 7-6, BeoLab Penta III, BeoLab 8000, BeoLab 6000, BeoLab 2, LC-1, BeoTime (analog clock), Form 1 headphones, Beo 4 remote.

    Hi, the Encore's service manual says the Powerlink output sends data through Pin 6 & 7, so hopefully you should have something displayed on your Pentas.Smile

    setup: BS5e + BL5000

    display: volume 35 source AUX (when playing N.Music, Radio and A.Aux)
