    Sound Setting on BL2000 possible?

    Dear all,

    I have a Beolab 2000 and like it a lot. But I would like to have more Bass on it. It sounds a little thin in comparison to my other speakers (BL3 and BL6000). Especially noticable when all speakers are on and I walk through the house.

    Any ideas how I could change the Bass/Treble setting?

    Thanks, Heribert

    hello

    Unfortunately, the bass and treble adjustment of the factory can not be produced in this way, but a speaker with very good sound regards

    Heribert;

    I too thought of this last year when we upgraded from a Beosound 3200 to a Beosound 4.

    We wanted a bit more bass with the sharper digital notes from the Beosound 4.

    It is pre-set, just like the Beosound 1. No luck, but it remains a very clever, good speaker.

    Heribert;

    We also tried adjusting the sound inside the Beosound 4 without much effect on the Beolab 2000.

    Was there not a thread a couple of years ago re pcb changes to achieve this?

    I always try to operate using/following the KISS principle --  Keep it simple stupid!

    The only thing you can do is changing each driver's volume settings in the service menu, meaning you increase the woofer's volume to +2 dB and /or decrease the tweeter's volume by - 2 dB, this will of course change the factory settings but will give you more audible bass , but not lower frequencies.

    Of course, placing the BeoLab 2000 in a corner will also greatly increase the audible bass levelStick out tongue

    Absolutely true -  compared to a "freestanding" position:

    - mounting a speaker "flat" on a wall will increase bass output by approx. 3 dB

    - mounting in a corner of 2 walls OR a wall and the floor/ceiling will increase bass output by approx. 6 dB

    - you'll gain 9dB if placing a speaker close to floor/ceiling AND 2 walls.

    ... small speakers like CX 50/100 or BLb 2000 will sound completely different!

    Hi Chris,

    How can I access the service menue and then how to change the setting?

    Thanks,

    Heribert
