Hello Beo-Enthusiasts!

I removed the faulty tape mechanism from my Beosystem 2500 and connected the internal connectors with a second music source (AUX is connected to iPod, and the tape to music out from the SAT-receiver). The system works fine, I can hear music from the television if I switch to "Tape".

The problem is, that the Beosystem switches to "stand by" after approx. 20-30min. I think this occurs due to the missing "data" signal from the tape board or tape mechanism saying that the system is working.

Does someone know, how to manage the system working for longer time without going to stand by? Do I need to simulate the tape signal? What signal is I need?
