    Huh? [:^)] Avant Colour Failure Is it worth saving

    One of our Avant 32 VHs players has just lost some colour.  Just producing Blue and red.  Given that we have no technical skills at all is it worth fixing?   Technician 2hrs away so would need to pay travel as well as for repair.  Live Central Coast NSW

    It doesn't sound good...

    A tube would cost around $2000 and Avants are now selling for less than $500 working with remote!

    I'd call B&O service and ask, but be prepared for a shock Surprise

    Thanks for that.  Decided to try DVD and colour was  fine.  It was the set top box which was playing up.  Its time for a HD set box any way.
