    Help with Beo 4 remote

Hello all, I'm new to the forum but would appreciate some help.

I recently bought a beo 4 remote hoping to be able to control my tv (mx 55) and my ouverture hifi.  The remote works fine with the tv but will not "connect", with my ouverture.  I think I one saw a particular key sequence you could press on the remote to "pair", it with a B&O Ouverture hifi, does anybody know what this is?  My internet searching has been fruitless!

    any help

Re: Help with Beo 4 remote

    Hi and welcome to Beoworld.

You don`t have to pair your Beo4 to the Ouverture. Maybe the option setting is not correct.

Are your MX and Ouverture linked via Masterlink (and converter)?

If not press LIST and STANDBY buttons at the same time. ADD? should be displayed. Scroll to OPTIONS - GO...A.OPT - 1 - GO.

If masterlinked and Beolabs are connected to the Beovision, do the same with V.OPT 2, and A.OPT 0.

    Hope this helps

And if you need a bit of context and deeper understanding try reading the Master Link Option links on the right hand side of this page => http://www.beoworld.org/beotech/

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

Re: Help with Beo 4 remote

Hi there, thnak you for your replies!

I'm still not able to get it to work, I DO NOT have a masterlink cable rigged up, the ouverture is in the same room as the tv.  I just wanted to operate my hifi with the same remote as the tv.

I tried the button combo standby + list =ADD?> cycle through to OPTION (& or CONFIG) when I get the A.OPTION point the GO button doesn't do anything?

I don't understand why this won't work?  All buttons on my beo 4 seem to work fine and the TV responds as expected but nothing from the ouverture?  The Beo 4 is a DVD version so not mk1

the button combo I saw once (wish I'd kept a note) involved turning the hifi on pressing various buttons until the hifi's red light flashed, does anyone know what this is.

thanks again for your help- starting to believe there is something wrong with my hifi remote receiver
