just saw this, luckly there is a photo of underneath which shows the serial number somehow went walkabout with the socket box,
first one to guess the sellers answer when i ask why its been removed

i dont know if anyones ever told you but you look a little like 'ba baracus' , i recon you can handle yourself if it goes bad
well unless you you have to get on a plane, but if hes near you should be alright

He does have a positive previous history of selling B&O though this is strange as his selling history shows him as based in USA, UK and Lithuania!
Still wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.

In which case no PIN so useless. Only useful if the acquirer didn't scratch it when 'lifting' it.
Do I assume that items like this will have a built in code that can directly trace back through to the warranty?

I think there will be a serial number inside - However in this situation, I cannot see any dealer being happy to touch this.
