How can I speed up the startup time of the HD module?

    Hello,

my BV 10-40 was updated to firmware build 166 and my HD module has software 0.1.6.6.0. Although it takes more than 30 seconds after switch on my BV 10-40 until the curtain of the HD module opens. What else can I do to speed up the startup time?

    Regards

    Räuber

    Get a Beovision Avant !

Seriously, I observed that the last software (0.1.6.6.0.) as a wee bug on startup.

For my case, it took 16 seconds to startup several times until I switched off the mains.

After powering the mains again, the startup time took more than 30 seconds like before the update.

This morning I did a test : it took 30 seconds during two startup and 16 seconds on the third startup.

Tonigh I'll try to install again 0.1.6.6.0. or reboot the DVBHD module.

Try it yourself, it may take less than 30 seconds after one or two startup.

Oh dear, what a waste of time B & O...

    Cheers,

    Gregory

    Hi Gregory,

first: I have an Avant since 1998 in my lounge and I love it, no problems at all with this superb TV! My BV 10-40 is in my bedroom and all the updates since December 2009 are driving me crazy!

I have recognized the following: When I switch off the BV 10-40 the LED goes red, but I can hear the fan for about 2 minutes. When I switch on the BV 10-40 during this time, the startup time is only 15 seconds. But if I wait until the fan has stopped, the startup time is more than 30 seconds.

    Cheers
