MX 4002: How to remove screen and turn video off only

I've just purchased a very nice MX4002 from Lifestyle and was wondering how I can remove the external screen to clean inside.

The manual only suggests to contact a B&O dealer.

There are some particles right in the centre of the screen which are visible when on. Also how can I turn the video off leaving audio only?

With my MX7000 I press PICTURE+MUTE with the unit on or AV+[Source] with the unit off. It doesn't work with the MX4002.

I've tried both the beolink 1000 MKI and the BeO4 with no result.

Any suggestions please? If you have a diagram even better Stick out tongue

    Many thanks

Screen removal, gently ease off the two plastic strips top / bottom of screen - then 4x torx screws accessible to remove screen

Have a 4002 and don't think it possible to listen to audio with the screeen blanked apart from switching off and re booting - ie watching tv want to listen radio etc fine but with silent picture of original source - someone else may have a soln

The MX4002 does not have the TORX screws to hold the screen, this is the case in MX6000 and MX7000. To remove the screen, you have to remove the backcover and remove one of the plastic side panels. Be careful, when you have removed the side-panel the screen is already loose!

To get sound only you have to use the AV function. So AV-TV for only the sound of TV, AV-V.TAPE for only the sound of the V.TAPE, etc. But this only works from Stand By. If you do this when there is already a picture, you will keep the picture.

Not sure if this applies to the 4002, but possibly worth checking anyway - where ever any mounting point is bonded to the glass, make sure the bond is good and strong! The last screen I took off an LX was ready to fall off by itself!
