Remote controls on Beomaster 6000 (the "new" one)

I have an old Beomaster 6000 ("new", not the old 4ch one!) which I am restoring right now, and have a question on the IR remote control.

Should a Beocenter Control Module (for Beocenter 7000) work for this or not ? I have one and it doesn't (and it does work with my Beocenter 7000 though). In an old thread I just read that it should work, or was it only the Beocenter Terminal (for Beocenter 7007) that should work ?

So, question is, has my Beomaster 6000 some issues in the IR receiver board (yes, it does have one!) or do I need another remote ?

You will need the optional Beosystem 6000 remote or Beolab 8000 but I do recommend the first one.

Yes, I know that they are the "correct" remotes for the BM6000 but I have understood that the Beocenter remotes also should work - at least partially. Am I totally mistaken here ?

As far as I know they don't work on BeoMaster 6000.......

As far as I know the 6000 remote and the Beolab 8000 terminal are the only two that work with this.

There was some kind of retrofit to make the modern remotes work with these but I'm not sure how available they are! (Only ever seen one on eBay!)

The Beolink converter is very rare, I would program a Beo5, Beo6 or a Logitech multifunction remote if you want to control all in your home Wink

You'll actually find that other remotes do work! I have been using a Terminal 3000 with my Beomaster 8000 for years now.
