    Well well well!

    Hi all,

A few may have read that I am after a wall bracket for my bv1.  Well I won an auction for one at a bargain of 99p!  After an echange of e mails about postage, the seller decided to not sell for 99p as he would rather keep it!  He has already relisted it!  I explained that I won the auction fair and square, it went for the whole week and no-one else bidded.  Now the seller hasn't replied to my messages!  What can I do and what are your thoughts?  I know that I have sold things for 99p in the past I know that it pains me but I still go through on the deal! I feel a bit annoyed and let down.

I think it is tough really. I know it isn't fair and people like that should start the bidding at what they are prepared to let the thing go for.

Try posting on the ebay forums to see if you can put in a complaint of some sort, like non performing seller I don't know....

    Re: Well well well!

Just report it to eBay and post a negative feedback. In case he wanted to keep it, he should not post it again!!!

    Best regards

    Hi Nicky,

Totally wrong but that's ebay again. If you really need it and they are a little scarce, why not try and strike a deal with him for what you both consider a fair price?

To be honest its left a bad taste in my mouth now!  I would have been prepared to give him a good price for postage to compensate!  I have reluctantly sold things in the past for 99p myself but I honoured the deal!  Oh well I guess everyone isn't the same!

Seem to remember the same thing happening to one of our members before. Over a pair of Beolab 4000's iirc. All you can do is report it to Ebay(who won't do a thing as usual), and leave some neg feedback.

Its not like they have made a silly error and I have taken advantage of it!   Thats why I am so annoyed, I think people get an unrealistic idea of the value of there goods.  If you start your item at a 99p it will find a natural value in the market place.

    Re: Well well well!

His excuse of not understanding the rules of selling doesn't wash. He's relisted it exactly the same as last time out.Hmm

Thought you were remarkably restrained in your feedback Nick!

To be honest I didnt want to leave negative feedback, but after thinking about it who is to say if he gets £2 this time he still won't sell!!   In my book fair is fair!  I would of honoured it if it was me so it had to be done!!

yes it did! I bidded on it and then cancelled my bid after seeking advice from ebay!

    Re: Well well well!

Had the same experience concerning a low bid win on a rare B&O publication.

The seller didn't correspond, then said he'd been in hospital, and because so much time had gone by he would now not send it but give a refund and relist it! I found through his own feedback that he'd been bidding and buying himself when allegedly in hospital. I was happy to receive the book even a month late but he wouldn't send it.

I left negative feedback (for the first time ever) and accused him of dishonesty. eBay were no help because they thought a refund was OK for goods not received.

Anyway, Nicky are you still looking for a BV1/BC1 wall bracket, because I have one. Good condition (bought from Lee last year when I first moved the TV off its video stand and before I moved house to a situation where the tall pole works better). Metallic silver finish. You would need to supply the grub-screw from your existing stand.
