    Beocord 8002 etc keypad cover

Anyone have a creative fix for a operating panel that has the majority of it's plastic pc retaining clips broken? I guess more pressure when the key doesn't work is not always the answer!

I did have a think when servicing my keypad, as three of the clips were broken, but it wasn't enough of a problem to give it a great deal of thought!

I might go back to this because I would like to replace the switches altogether, you can hardly feel the tactile response from some of the switches, which I suspect is very similar to along with the cause of your situation!

Thanks, Olly. I've only three servicable clips and they are on the ends. Makes the whole works mushy, especially lower right 'GO'. Looking for a replacement I think.

Grind off the remains of the clips.
Glue on screws with cylindrical heads of apprx 2.5mm height to the backside
of the panel (where the clips sat), standing on their heads.
Fit the board with nuts to the screws.

Ah yes, a trick even B&O have used, how clever! Will a standard two-part epoxy stick ok to the plastic?

Now why didn't I think of that? Brilliant, and thanks!
