    1989 BeoCenter9000

    Ahem...

I realize this unit was purchased before forums like this were available...

Problem: the small button/knob which centres the CD when it is pressed in to the CD player has broken in half. I need the new small wheel shaped piece of plastic. The spring is fine.

Q: Does anyone know how/where I can get an original or aftermarket replacement? (Please don't mention B&O dealer. B&O only provides support for systems up to 12 years after their manufacture. B&O when contacted were of no help).

It seems a pity that this lovely unit has been turned in to a paperweight because of this very small but important circle of plastic. I'd sure appreciate any advice.

    Thank you.

Unfortuantely, apart from manufacturing a replacement yourself, I don't think you'll have much luck. No after market parts anywhere I'm afraid. Its a bit of a problem, perhaps someone else will have an idea but as far as I know there's not much one can do!

See the end of this thread and the post by member Mdyarnell who seems to have solved this problem
