    BeoVirus

I got it, the virus I mean. And here is how:

One month ago I was surfing for cables and different connectors for my music computer to connect with my BS 3000, BL 4000 and BL 8000 I also went to the auction site and somehow ended up with a BM 901 for USD 28.00, for my son I thought. Well, a reciever/amp need speakers and I bid on a pair of S 45s got them for USD 39.00. Now I started thinking of what I had done, I bought 3 pieces I did'nt know anything about.

Beoworld and surfing got me the information needed and a lot more, I got hooked and since then I've been on the forum nearly every day.

2 weeks ago the needle on my MMC4 (BG 2404) got broken, I went to Soundsmith, expensive, went to the auc.site, found a BG 5000 with MMC4, I bid on it and set my max to USD 150.00, someone outbid me and in the heat of game I continued bidding until I got for USD 177.00 I did'nt want to go that high but somehow I did (virus).

Back to the forum, signed up for Silver membership and got the manuals for all my Beo stuff. As I had to check shipping and payment and god knows what, I found this beautiful piece, I just had to have, a very nice looking BM 2400, back to the forum investigate and download manuals. Just ordered from our very own BeoGenius Martin Dillen caps, lamps and belt for all items.

I now have, waiting for pickup, in McAllen Texas BM 901, S 45s, BG 5000 and this 8th world wonder BM 2400, I will go up there in 2 weeks unpack all the boxes, check everything, repack for the car trunk and bring it 1100 Km back to Mexico city.

I plan to run a thread with the repairments, this time for totally novices, starting with the must have tools and how a 6'3", 220 pound guy with big hands attacks tiny innocent Beo equipment

Help, I got the virus, I'm 60 years old but feel like an 8 year old boy just before Christmas.Big Smile

Later I will post a picture of my B&O bedroom just to show how crazy it is. Don't even have the time to enjoy....,Smile but soon I will when the "room" is finished.

Since you gave the world the swine flu, we had to send something in return Laughing

Now seriously, we usually only hear bad news from Mexico. It's nice to hear that there are also people who appreciate their B&O. Looking forward to your reports Søren Smile

    I had the BeoVirus...

I went to see the doctor, but I couldn't shake it.

B&O just kept accumulating around me.....

It started getting out of control.

I went back to the doctor, and this is what happened:

Me: "Doctor, you've got to help me! I think this BeoVirus is taking over my life!"

Doctor: "Oh dear, I think it's terminal"

    Me: "Does that mean a Terminal 6000 or a Terminal A/V ?????"

Is that one of the symptoms doc?

    Absolutely !

It's a particular strain called BeoWereWolf ... you bark at the full moon, and then check BeoWorld

In severe cases, the patient checks Beoworld first, and then howls at the full moon

The most severe cases, very sad to see, are where no full moon is needed

some times coffee "helps" Coffee Erm

but I find several glasses of Guinness are very helpful Beer Beer Beer Erm

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*
