BeoVision-5 and Beolink Passive (in same room)

I would like to use my BV5 with Beolink Passive driving my BeoVox Pentas in the same room. This is a temporary set-up until I get some active speakers in the new year.

So far I have connected up the BV5 and BL Passive with the Beolink Passinve & speakers using Materlink cable. It works but there is a delay between the BV5 speaker and the BL Passive.

The  other issue is which option to use. (not sure which I'm on at the moment) but to turn on & off I have to have LINK showing in the Beo4, so if I'm watching DTV or DVD then I can control the speakers, but if I want to use my AppleTV which is is controlle using V-Aux I cannot as I have to have LINK showing and then if I go to V-Aux the speakers stay on the DTV. (Update - added the L-V-Aux button and can now control this correctly)

Is it possible to get this working or am I wasting my time! I did read one post where someone said the powerlink socket can be used. ie it makes the speaker "active" in that you plug in a powerlink cable from the BV5 to the BL Passive and you don't use a Masterlink cable and don't need any link eye and it comes on when you use the BV5.

Does that work? I don't want to put anything in that link socket on the BL Passive as the manual says not to. I tried the Config software available on here but it doesn't seem to have Beolink Passive in the Main room.

Easiest thing in the world.  You're over thinking this.  I assume that you're using the Pentas as front speakers.  First, get yourself a fully wired Powelink cable.  Then disconnect the MasterLink cable, and the IR cable to the passive kit.  Connect the kit to the BV-5 via the aforementioned PowerLink cable to one of the Front sockets on the BV-5.  Go to the appropriate menu on the BV-5 and tell it htat there are BEoLab Pentas attached.  The rest should be easy.

    We kid because we love.
