Why so cheap?  Or is it likely this is going to be sniped much higher?  Do I need to buy this to drive my S45-2s?

1.) Cosmetics... always buy the best one you can find. Bad pics? (How much for the bass giraffe?)

3.) I think it is a great match to the S45's

The 3000-2 is a nice piece... I like the flat fronts -but you might want to wait and find a BM4400.

Nice receiver - the one I had cost me £30 and was perfect. They seem to often have humming transformers these days.

OK, I guess I just have to go through the product section one of these days and just look at (and read the descriptions of) all the Beomasters.  (This goes back to an earlier post this week where I was looking for the Beoworlder Approved lists.)  Having said that.....

If you like black (like I do) and don't mind the flat fronts (which I prefer)... BM4000!

You are quite right - Beomaster 4000s are two a penny - you need the Precious!

In the application I would use The Precious for, the sloping face would actually be ideal.  Mount the monitor on the wall, and lovingly place The Precious between the S45-2s on my desktop.

And then get a 4000 to use with my S40s.
