Beo5 spend far too much power!

    Hello

I just got my Beo5 updated to firmware 1.43a but it seemed to me that it uses too much power.

For a full charged Beo5 can only hold power for about 40 hours. Previously it could hold 3-4 days by general-use.

Is there others who have similar experience?

I have not really noticed the shorter battery life, but I normally leave my Beo5 on it's charger stand.

However, I have been contacted by another member who noticed the following symptoms which in my view would use a lot more battery power:-

    • He noticed what he called a new "feature" with the latest firmware

If you sit in a very bright room, and turn on the Beo5, then the LCD backlight slowly reaches maximum, but VERY slowly, and then if the light turns off and the remote is activated again, then the LCD backlight is turned on at maximum brightness briefly and then dims totally and then rises again slowly, but in this rise time the display is not very readable.

You may wish to try the above and see if you notice teh same symptoms.

    Regards Keith....
