    Female beoworld members?

Don't get me wrong, i'm not looking for a date. I just wondered if there are many ladies amongst the members, since I only read male names on this great forum. Does Beoworld maybe have some statistics on the matter?

There are a few, but I blame jandyt for scaring them away!Laughing

Generally speaking, you aren't learning much if your lips are moving.

Beoworld's twenty-eighth ninth prize winner and fifty-first second prize winner. Best £30 I've ever spent!

I can confirm that there are a few female members, but I guess in a male dominated forum most tend to just view posts.

There are some exceptions, just this week, I responded to a request from a lady about fixing a Beocom 6000. She plans to upgrade her unit to a Mark II version herself.

Perhaps more female members would show up if we had a female moderator and/or we had a "Female Only" forum

    Regards Keith....

I can't see a all female forum being a reason to join in, we certainly don't need a separate forum like we have for different languages as thats different, otherwise your saying that women cannot communicate with men on a equal level, it's more to do with that most B&O are "boys toys" and generally the female section of society are not interested in it.

While they may admire the design thats as far as it goes- I am not being sexist just a realist talking from experience with my own SWMBO, loves our avant but is just not interested in how/why it's so good.Indifferent Just a fact of life I am afraid.

I think this thread will now open a can of worms.

My - a bit provocative - thesis: women are reading user guides ...

    Re: Female beoworld members?

I often share posts with SWMBO, especially those with pictures of kit in homes where she likes to admire the overall setting

And by way of example, tonight I relayed the joke from this week's WEDTHREAD about the two two guys in a boat in a lake who are fishing, but then catch a bottle with a genie inside it

So I am sure that there are many female members ... and I include in that JandyT and his her fishnet tights

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*
