    Two STB's. Y-adaptor 6174171 and a IR-blaster 8330352. Or?

If I fitted a 2nd STB to my BeoVision would one of these work link instead of the B&O official parts Y-adaptor 6174171 and a IR-blaster 8330352?

Hi, no it wouldn't - this is a single cable with 2 x IR emitters, whereas the Y-adaptor above splits the individual IR signals and assigns them to the appropriate channel (STB/DTV & V.AUX/STB).

Would be great if it would but it won't.

The above showed adapter/ir- isn't a splitter. As you can see it has just a 3,5 "mono jacket.

B&O uses a splitter a 3,5" stereo jacket where the middle section is the V-Aux and the top section is the DTV/Sat. Both uses the bottom section as a common ground.

So, if you can solder a bit, you can make easily one yourself.

    Unfortunately no soldering skills here...

Mono jacket means both signals are sent to both boxes, but the box not understanding the signals won't react. So that would not be an issue, right? But I probably miss something here...

Could I use a mono ir blaster (one ir at the end, available from lots of companies) to control one STB? This should be a very common.

Then two of those and the y-cable/splitter? Or grounding issues?

    Sorry to bother...

    Correct.

This is the normal way, just 2 mono leads and the y-splitter.
