    Beovision 10-40

Am thinking of adding the above TV to myBeoSound 3200+BeoLab 8000+BeoLab  2.  I also have a Virgin HD + DVD player to attach at the back.

Any feedback on Beovision 10-40 or is BeoVision 7-40 a better buy?  Thanks.

I have both and much prefer BV10. If you already have a DVD player there isn't a big advantage with BV7-40 apart from a superior sound. Maybe get your local store to demo the sound of both with BL8000 + BL2 and see how the centre sound matches up.

That's a pretty big advantage. 50% of the TV experience! What other advantages do you require? :)

Well he/she may be satisfied with the sound of the BV10, especially after BL8000's and BL2 are connected. That's why I recommended a test drive in store.

I believe I described it as "superior" and recommended a test drive and see/listen how it "matches" up.

I for one am extremely satisfied with the sound of the BV10 with BL3's and BL2. Although this is in a bedroom so it is a little overkill.

    Just one opinion and recommendation.

I'm over the moon with my BV10-40

I have a BC2, Sky HD, Apple TV and a Wii connected to it...

On the Audio front, I have BL8000s connected and want to demo a BL11, but I'm more than happy with the current sound/ picture quality!

I never really warmed to the design on BV7 and find it rather overpriced in my opinion.

Yes, the BV10-40 is much better value than a BV7-40. Perhaps the BV10-40 + BL11 combo might be equal to that of a BL7.2.

Really? 7-40 includes DVD drive (which is gorgeous) and beosystem 3 inside, how is it over priced compared to a BV10?

Thanks for that - I plan to connect the BL9000, subwoofer BL2, BS3200 - so the sound should be fine.

I also have a Virgin HD, Blue ray DVD and Wii console - hope there are enough connections to have all these.

I guess with Apple TV - once can see all the stored pics/ movies also?

The DVD drive that doesn't support DTS-HD? The Beosystem 3 might be great if you want to control a projector and other devices, but the picture quality isn't necessarily any better. Indeed the BV10-46 has a better picture, without BS3.

If you want to pay over £10,000 for a BV7-40, feel free :) I think the BV10-40 represents good value for a B&O TV. The BV10-46, less so.
