On the german ebay is a beomaster 6000 (defect!) with remote for sale...

You might ask the seller for shipping costs.

If he does not want to sent to UK, I could buy for you and ship to you .... charging only the actual shipping costs (+what i paid for in the action). PM me if this is the way you might want to go.

I know you have! Our posts must have crossed - I meant madslp.

I got mine off eBay for about £35 I think pretty much as soon as mine came back from Tim Jarman. He was telling me that not all Beomaster 6000s have the ultrasonic sensor for this remote, so you'll have to check that out when you get yours from your friend :)

I am pretty sure all Beomaster 6000 quad receivers have the remote sensor. The later Beomaster 6000 had an optional remote so maybe this is what Tim meant.

I thought so too Peter, but my 80s 6000 never went to Tim, and I remember asking him if he had any Commanders spare. Perhaps one of us got out wires crossed...who knows!?

The '80s Beomaster 6000 had the optional remote 2035.

I even had the experience of getting my white edition back from Dillen brought back from the dead only nto point my 2035 remote and getting no response at all! I called Dillen and he explained that it was optional. I looked under the plastic cover found under the bottom of the Beomaster and no remote print had ever been there.

Dillen looked around and found an untested one. It still works to this day.
