    Beo5 Frontrow Mac controller?

Will the Beo 5 be able to replace the Apple remote in controlling Frontrow on Mac or am I just wishful thinking that it can control 3rd party devices via software updates?

It seems that most products bite their teeth out with the fast scrolling. Beoport can't, Beosystem can't, IRED/Lintronik can only workaround. It seems to be very unique to Apple how they implemented that, I would not expect Beo 5 to be able to handle that.

Without fast scrolling there is not much of a point in my opinion.

Salling Clicker does fast scrolls on Macs. Wish there was a way to control B&O equipment with the Clicker! Big Smile

The salling clicker actually provides an object that you can call from Apple Script. I used that initially to implement my fast scrolling workaround IRED/IRTRANS. Holding the cross down started it, pushing any other key stopped it. That worked amazingly well. However when I upgraded my Imac to 1GB of RAM the scrolling became to fast and you couldn't read the text anymore. So I switched back to some sort of "Page Down" "Page Up" model which is OK too.

I believe that Kjeld implemented fasts crolling with the USB version of lintronik, so there are ways to get this done.
