Hi, I've got an MX4000 on the wall in the bedroom and a BL2000 on a unit nearby, however when I turn the TV on and adjust the volume up, t he BL2000 turns on. How can I stop this from happening as its really annoying. I pulled the main cable from the BL2000 at the moment

Quickest & easiest solution would be to get a 'range reducer' from your dealer. If he/she does not have any spare ones, I'm sure they can order one in for you! It's a little plastic cap which sits over the top of the Beo4 with a small hole in the centre. It narrows the beam of the Beo4 considerably, meaning you have to point it directly at the product.
Or, alternatively if you wanted to disable the IR eye in the BeoLab 2000, you can do this. I seem to remember that the BeoLab 2000 will not go into option 0, and you will need to disconnect the internal IR eye. I may be inventing things inside my own head though, so I'm sure somebody like Keith Saunders or one of our other technical geniuses can answer!

Not at all neccessary and a range reducer is not a very good solution for the home, this is the reason for option programming. First of all, all you need to do is option program the products correctly. BeoLab 2000 can be set to option 0 but that might not be the correct solution for you. If you have both a video product and an audio product in the same room they should be set to Option 5, this will mean that the TV will only respond to video commands and the BeoLab 2000 will only respond to audio. If this is not what you want to achieve then let me know and I will let you know the correct configuration.

If it's a "Link"-room it should be in option 5 If it's a "Master"-room it should be in option 1 /Ola

Option 4 is the road to drive. I have what the BL2000 instruction book call a L-shaped living room. Without BL2000 in option 4 I always ended up with channel 11, 22 etc on the TV instead of 1, 2 etc. All commands where doubled. No problems any longer.

I don't think he has them linked together, Daniel. P.S. A picture of your Avatar being created has appeared on my Struer thread. Andy T.

But the BL2000 must be linked to something and option 4 will help him anyway. Yes, I saw it.
