I finally managed to get my hands on an old Beotime! I love it, and am really happy. I bought it as broken from B&O store in the US.

The query I have is how to fix the second hand. It falls off quite easily, and just hangs down pointing towards 6 o'clock. It moves with the 'tick' from the clock mechanism, but swings back to pointing down straight away...

Any thoughts? Anyone had a similair experience???

It does tell the time, in factt it keeps great time! But; if you remove the second hand there is a hole in the middle, so it doesn't look as preeeeetty. And besides, it's nice to see the sweeping second hand

After a little fiddling around and some delicate work with a pair of pliers, I fixed it!!

Now it's working like...*ahem*... clockwork!!!

You can if necessary replace the mechanism and simply use the old hands. Most of these mechanisms are very similar (cheap!)
