    AV9000 and MX6000 picture tube?

    Hi!

    I have read that Beovision AV9000 has the same chasis as a Beovision MX6000. Is the picture tube also the same? Will it be possible to mount the picture tube from a MX6000, in a AV9000, if it's the same model?

    I see no reason why not - the tubes did change over time but were essentially the same type. Get the equivalent model and you should be fine. It will no doubt require quite a bit of setting up though once fitted.

    Curiously,it's a different part No for the crt in the AV9000,although it's prolly just an admin anomaly?Type A66EAK220X02 seems to have been used across all the various "42" type chassis that I've come across.I can't see any difference in the two circuits.I would recommend swapping 'tubes complete with their respective scan coil assemblies to ensure best geometry.I don't fancy dealng with the mechanical curtain mech tho!
