    BV7 DVD Screensaver??

Is there a setting for BV7 and the built-in DVD to have a screensaver or auto-off feature when the video is paused?

Reason I asked this is I was I walked into the room and I saw the DVD is set to pause. I asked my wife how long it was left like that and she said maybe an hour or so while she was outside chatting with a friend. [:'(]

I don't think it does any damage to the set, but I doubt it would be good to be left pausing like that. So I wonder is there a setting like Apple TV or PS3 where you can set some time for the screensaver to come out?? Or maybe someone can tell me that B&O LCD is designed so that there is no image persistence. Big Smile

There isn't I am afraid.  Only chatting for an hour?  Some suggestions

    1. Forbid wife to chat with anyone.
    2. Forbid wife to use the BV7 and buy her a portable TV.
    3. Programme the wife to press Pause and then TV, at least the image will still be moving while she chats.
    Some reflections
    1. Impossible and unfair - would impede running of kitchen/laundry and general household tasks such as ordering Pizza.
    2. Definitely the way to go.
    3. No wife can ever remember such a complicated set of instructions or reason why a still image can be damaging to a screen, so not recommended.
All in jest I hasten to add before the three females on Beoworld respond.

I have been told that LCD burn-in is less of an issue that with CRTs

I have seen some laptops with evidence of burn-in so I am always cautious

But a single hour is probably not an issue ....

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*
