If you want to give your BeoLab 4000 a new look..read this
Hi BeoWorlders,
I recently changed my whole setup at home & for my bathroom, the only logical choice was the Lab 4000 (the BeoLab 2000 had not enough bass in that cathedral-sounding environment, and the sound was terrible, too much treble and no bass), but my BeoLab 4000 were all black..So here's what I did:

Move the Beo4 some cm to the right.
Move the speaker some cm up.
Please undo whatever happened to the speaker.

Ha ha! Remember the 4000 was originally black, there is no dealer around to sell an aluminium replacement "body", so this is a 5-minute job with an alu adhesive roll.
The speaker cover, however, took much longer, I removed the fabric cover and polished the metal cover to make it look like the BeoSound 1 grille. At normal distance & light, you see nothing behind the cover (no label, no speaker), the flash on the camera made all this apparent.
Reunion Island is greeting you!

Great. This looks waaaaaaaaay better than a black pair.

I am sure the photo doesn't do the work any justice and I just don't get why most people prefer black ... I did polish my CX100's when I refurb them and they look just amazing.
I am glad B&O is at least giving people the option to have other colors. Yes, even the gold color can look good in the right place.

Are you happy with your result? If the answer is yes then you did a great job! On a positive note, i think it's a creative thing you've done, though personally i wouldn't have done this to a pair of my favourite B&O speaker.
You can buy aluminium panels and silver speaker covers mate :)

A matter of taste, I suppose, and this one, I'm afraid, is not to mine. The Beolab 4000 came in alu (or silver) too, if I remember correctly.
