What is the replacement for a BeoLink 5000?

My B&O store tells me the closest new replacement for this remote is the BeoLink 1000 which they obviously still have in stock. I don't agree with this and would have thought the BeoTime was the replacement > any thoughts?

As far as I'm concerned there isn't any replacement. B&O dropped it when they discontinued 2 way communication. Of course the Beolink 1000 works well with equipment that can be controlled with a Beolink 5000, but without 2 way communication, it's not the same...

True, there is no replacement to BeoLink 5000, since 2-way communication was discontinued with the remotes; design-wise, the Beo4 is the closest you could get to the 5000, operation-wise you could go for a second-hand BeoLink 7000 if you want to keep the 2-way capabilities.

What products are you going to use with your remote control?

The Beo4 was the replacement though you lose some features. The BL5000 is however still available, as Phil says. The BeoTime is not a very useful remote control! Good timer though!
