Haven't seen them in the stores here yet.... but they look just great to me and  they suit my taste a lot better than all black, that's for sure.

Something they should have done ages ago imo.

I don't think the BeoLab 5s look that great in white, but the BeoLab 4s are just superb.

I do not know if you have seen them in the flesh, but I have Smile, and I think they look great in white. They white colour makes them fit better in a smaller room, especially if you have white walls.

Is it easy to change the cloth on a BL5?

I think white beolab5's are a great idea, they are quite big and yes the white helps them disappear.

I would kill for a pair Devil  hehe

My opinion is the opposite, BL3's are awful looking things, every time i see them they get uglier...

Does anyone know if the white BL5 cover is available to buy? I could get it for my 5's... Are they changeable at all?

     Hi Bayerische

My dealer told me that it is possible to order the white cover for your BL5´s and yes, it is fairly easy to change it, only requires to loosen 4 screws (i think i remember) and unplugging the top from the bottom. Otherwise, i am sure your dealer will be delighted to help or at least provide the necessary tools. However, is the cloth the only thing that differs from the white and black speakers??

Yes. The aluminium is the same, and so are the black plastic parts.

Laughing I agree with Tom here, always a man of good taste, except for his choice of football team ... this has always confused me.

Although the BeoLab 5s don't look terrible in white, they certainly look better in black in my opinion. I really don't think there is any way to make these bad boys look smaller than they are just by playing with colour.

An Audi TT looks cool in white, just like the BeoLab 3s, but a white 7 Series looks silly.

Re: Ooh Ooh - more white BeoLabs!

I'll admit that it only takes loosening of 4 screws to get the grills/frets/screens off of the BeoLab 5...but it takes about 45 minutes to get to those screws, and you'll need a VERY long Torx screwdriver once you're there.  I'm sure that your dealer will help you out, but from experience, I'd say that 'delighted' is a bit of a stretch.  Wink

Expect t opay for a couple of hours labor on top of the cost for the grilles.  Then again, that's cheap for a classy ne look!

Beolab 3 is my least favourite speaker but looks great in white.

I have a pair of white cx speakers that must be about 20 yrs old...and yep the frets are still white.

Maybe now a good reason to upgrade them to white beolab3 .... Maybe I will have to ask Santa next christmas  ;)
