    Beocenter 9000s series advice - which one??

    I am loking to buy my first B and O, looking at the beocenter 8500, 9500 or 9300, any ideas as to whcih I should go for? Thanks

    9300 has an inferior tape deck, but if you don't plan to use it much (or not at all), the rest of the machine will be more serviceable, and potentially quite a bit newer to begin with than a 9500.

    8500 is a bit pointless as it is mostly just 9500 with some artificial limitations, unless you actually happen to like the dark gray panels more - I know I like those on my 8000. But you seldom see those on sale anyway.

    Thnaks for the advice I was drawing towards a 9300 as it would be newer - but have read it is lower spec than the 9500, anyone have any thoughts?

    Differences between the two are small, i'd go for the newer one the BC9300. (cd laser unit of 9500 is no longer available)

    As far as I know, the same two types of tapedecks are used throughout this whole series of Beocenters.
    Both are fairly good decks with identical specs.
    The same goes for the different CD decks used and I am also almost sure that none
    of these decks are available from anywhere anylonger, good thing being
    that they are mostly repairable.
