    Erm

Does at least somebody know if there are any compatibilities from other manufacturers e.g. Panasonic etc?

    Any hint is really appreciated.

    Spiros,

I think you are not getting any responses because you have not provided enough detail in your question.

Whilst Philips is a product manufacturer, it sells under the Philips name many products made by other manufacturers as well as its own.

If your Philips DVD has actually been made by Philips, then it is likely to use a Philips infrared protocol, whereas if it is an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) then it is more likely to use the NEC or Sony protocols which are very different.

So, when requesting information, may I suggest you provide full information including model number of the unit.

    Regards Keith....

    Re: Philips DVD XML wanted!!

    Hello Keith,

You're probably right since I thought that all Philips DVDs obviously were made by Philips. However and if this helps, it is a 7x2 series (722, 732 etc.)

Concenring the actual manufacturer I cannot be 100% sure but I would be first checking actual Philips codes and then probably something else.

    Any hints with this information?

    Spiros,

Taking into account your feedback, then the XML HERE may work, however teh only sure way is to try it.

    Regards Keith....

    Re: Philips DVD XML wanted!!

    Dear Keith,

    It's working perfectly!!!!

Just a small question. I have setup the connections as 1. HDR1 2. VAUX (sat rx) and 3. Decoder (The other choice was non B&O Video)

If I turn on the DVD it will not automatically switch to the 3rd Scart (decoder). Is there any chance that it can be done by any command?

    Best regards

Make a new entry i your analoge tv channel list the (frequency doesn't matter), edit the entry and mark it to use "decoder" and save it.

To activate your Philips DVD you just select TV and enter the new channel number. Then you can control it with your Beo5.
