Benefits of adding a MCL2P into a link system?

    Hello,

A short while ago I replaced the old RL60.2's as fronts with the BL8000's in my BS3 setup. This freed also the MCL2P-amplifier I was using. I could use this elsewhere in my MCL-system - I have some extra MC2AV:s available. The Beolink master I am having is a BM6500. Has anybody tested if the audio quality would be improved if the amplifier would be added to a MCL2-system? I do not have any new sources to add neither do I need the capability of independent volume control. A boost in the maximum volume would always be welcome. In the rare occasions SHMBO allows this... But I doubt that the MCL2P would be more powerfull than the BM6500. The main speakers in the BM6500 are Pentalabs connected with Powerlink so they should not drain the power from the amp of the BM.

The link rooms in question are equipped with a) RL60.2's b) Beovox 5000 and Cona. I could test this but the room b) is a crossing point where three MCL-cables are all connected together in one MCL2 unit. The cables are short and it took a lot of effort and patience to make the system work without any shortcuts.

Mcl2p has an output of 2x60w and your BM6500 has 2x110W both in 8 Ohm, if you have 2 link rooms from the BM6500? then the BM  deliver more power to both room then the Mcl2p will to only one room..
