Struer Customer Service - NO CUSTOMER SERVICE

Back in November I purchased 2 x Beocom 5, 2 x Table/wall Charger, In December 09 before xmas the local dealer had got in just 1 of the Beocom 5 handsets and the table/wall charger and informed me that the 2nd one was on back order due to the demand, so I thought all OK there, having seen the phone I then decided to purchase one of the  Speakerphone base, so all in all over £800 for what is 2 cordless phones with out the base to make them work,  I am however using them on the PSTN base at home. Anyhow, back in late December 09 the Com 5 developed a fault with the earpeice and audio quality was so bad that you could not hear the caller, so contacted the dealer who have agreed to swap out the unit for a new one as Denmark confirmed there were a few handsets that are faulty, my gripe is that I have effectivly spent this money on a product that I have yet to use, enjoy or benefit from,  Struer customer service basically did not give a rats ar$e and were not interested in my complaint,  lets be clear this is not the dealers fault, they have been very helpful. my gripe is that B&O have taken my money and are not interested, they cant give a date when I will get my replacement handset and also my second handset.

    Rant over

There are known problems with the Beocom 5 - in the US, this has been dealt with by fixing the phones and a free pair of A8s. Not sure what B&O UK are doing!

which market are you from? In US, apparently they are still fixing the software.. I have given up on BC5 and have returned to the dealer..

In fact my dealer was so embrassed by this suituation, he offered to give me a Free A8 as well as return my money for the phone, but I deceided to just get a credit so that I can buy the new subwoofer Beolab 11..

I will stay away from B&O products except for loudspeakers, for atleast a year or so before I invest my money.. Every new product I have purchased in the last year or so, had nothing but software bugs.. Thats my New Years resoultion.. Smile

I figured, we already wait years for B&O to come up with a product we needed, so whats the harm in waiting another year after they launch the product before investing on it.. who wants to spend $20K+ on BV7 and BeoSound 5 and have the technician at your house every other weekend... Not me.. atleast not anymore..

Niiiiice. So they can't even get the sw right for a phone, these days?

Although my BV7-40 MKIV is now completely fine - thanks to the hard work from the Bath B&O dealership - I never received any feedback, apologies or anything from B&O. There aren't too many markets where you never hear from the company who provides to the goods to their stores.

We've launched software stores across the Internet, but we get involved direct with each store owners customers, if they experience issues. We don't just tell each store owner to handle store queries themselves.

I am glad to hear that !  You may recall I stopped my order for a BV7-40 MK IV based on all the problems that you had.  I took an interim BV8-32 instead and have been very happy with its technical capabilities, and my family (who think I am nuts) were very happy with the price.

But I still need a larger home cinema BV, so as a point of reference, what were all the solutions to all the problems you had?

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*
