    Avant and digital DD/DTS input

Hi, I think, I saw a mention in some post about connecting digital DD/DTS input to Avant's Dolby module. I do not find it anymore.

I have a Sony DVD player and there is a coax output for digital sound. Looking behind my Avant, and also the manuals at the site, I do not find any socket to connect it. Is it somehow through the Powerlink socket?

And finally, does it matter wether use Scart or Spdif?

Your opinions and advice greatly appreciated!

    Regards,

    Pekka

The Avant must be pre-fitted with a Dolby Digital decoder panel, which includes powerlink output sockets for front, rear and centre speakers,  and 2 spdif input sockets (phono types)

OK, there seems to be many differen kinds of panels, at least 3 which I found.

Mine is of type, where there is 4 PL sockets in row, and nothing else.

Selecting speaker 5, shows Dolby pro logic, so maybe I have an old fashioned module?

Yes, you have the older Dolby ProLogic one - this has to be replaced by something like on the picture -depending on the type of the Avant you have.
