Change sound for both link room and principal room

I've got a large room (with kitchen and sitting room), so there is a BV 7 at a side of this room and at the other side (in the kitchen) a beocenter 6-22.

Do you know how, in the Beo5 configurator, specify that the wheel right and wheel left will change the sound in the same room for BV7 and a beocenter 6-22 which is linking ??

And I want to talk about a lag sound (don't know if it's correct ? or a delay ?) in the sound of the beocenter 6-22 and the sound from the BV7.

It's happen only with numeric signals (DVD, Blue-ray and numeric TV). The problem is that the beocenter 6-22 is in advance on the BV7 for sound and picture.

I hope you understand me, and thanks for your answers.

    hi Hackel

I am not quite sure i understand your request. However let me try. You want to be able to turn volume up and down on both tv´s at the same time right? I do not think this is possible unless the remote reaches both tv´s. You are able to turn an entire linksetup off at the same time by holding down the powerbutton, but that is it.

As for the soundlag, this is a HUGE problem for B&O. It is due to the digital content being processed on your Bv 7 and therefore the sound is delayed a bit on Bv7 to match the digital delayed picture. However, the analoge signal distributed through your masterlink is NOT as it has to match the analoge picture in the linkrooms.

You can verify this byt entering the servicemenu on your BV 7. (Press menu twice, place the cursor on "other options" (or somthing similar in english) press 0 - 0 - Go, and choose monitor. under sound adjustment, try setting the sounddelay to 0 (remember the prior setting though). The sound and picture on your digital broadcasts are now no longer in synch on your mainroom tv, but everything should be fine between linkrooms and main room.

    Can you confirm this??

Yes you're right, I want to be able to turn volume up and down on both tv's.  As it's possible to make macro on the beo5, I was sure it was possible.

For the soundlag, I confirm, if I choose 0 for the sound delay, it's ok for the sound ... but the picture and the sound are no longer synch on the BV7.... This is a huge problem for B&O as you said, but for my dealer, they realy know this problem but they don't seem to be intrested by finding any solution.

What i mean with you not beeing able to adjust sound on both tv´s at the same time is, that is is not possible through Masterlink. If both IR eyes are visible for the Beo5, there is no problem.

Yes, B&O knows very well about the sounddelay issue and the problem cant be fixed untill they introduce Digital masterlink. Dont count on it anytime soon, as they are always at least 2 years behind everything else. One way to fix the problem is to introduce a software update that will let you independently choose delay for each HDMI input instead. I told B&O and my dealer, and apperantly they are working on it....(Not in a million years....) Funny they now introduce digital possibillities but does not care about masterlink, the only thing they have (had) left to brag about......!!!!!

The Both Ir are visible for the Beo5, but with the TV in the kitchen, the Beo5 is in link mode, so the sound is just for this TV even if the IR of the BV7 are visible.

There must be a solution for sending a cmd both to the link TV and the principal TV.

About the delay, it's very strange that  the BV7 is in delay between the TV in the kitchen. This mean that the Beosystem3 is sending signal to the TV much faster than to the BV7 !!!

Re: Change sound for both link room and principal room

Well, if the kitchen tv is in option 4 and the mainroomtv in option 0, it is not possible to control them both at the same time other than maybe dooing a makro that mutes them both. First mute, then Link - mute... But using the wheel is not possible i think.

Actually the delay is not that strange. The BV 7 takes time to process the digital images SO the sound on the Bv7 is delayed accordingly (only in your mainroom). The linkroom tv´s recieves analoge picture and sound so that is not delayed. Therefore, the sound in your linkroom preceeds the sound in your mainroom

Should work with a Lintronic box. The box is able to receive AND send Beo commands. So it should receive commands   and send the same commands in LINK mode. So if you press TV volume up, BV7 and Lintronic box will receive the command and the box sends LINK volume up to the BV6 in OPT 4.

    Should also work with Beo4.

The sound of a Plasma/LCD TV must be delayed to get picture and sound in sync. This delayed sound can`t be distributed via Masterlink because picture - sound in linkrooms would get out of sync.
