can you blow a Beolab 2 sub

just played the most amazing track on my system, and cranked up the sub to max.  the bass was too much to stay in the room,  but my question is can you blow the sub or will the ice protect it.

the track was Michael Woods - Drop Zone.  its a clubing dance track for the more mature followers

Re: can you blow a Beolab 2 sub

My lab 2 cut out after some extended, near max (68-70 on BS9000) play of some live Frank Zappa - had a lot of "bottom" (very low rumble/hum like noise) vs. bone shaking beats.  Happened just once (although I don't usually listen that loudly), but there was no damage (the windows were shaking a bit).  Turned it off for 10 minutes, and then listened at sane levels.
