    Pb with third party product

    Hello,

I've just baught a BEO5 and I'v got the 3.0 Config tools. I try to put a third party product (Sony RDR HXD870 DVD) which I download on the BEO5 internet page.

It's like a PUC product and not a third party, because when I am in the View screen, and I test a buton, it start with CNTL_xxxx so I think this is not like it must be, because the IR tab and the IR Long Tab are not accesible.

Can you just help me for this product, that will be ok after for the other.

Re: Pb with third party product

This is an XML file generated by a member using the XML Generator and so has ONLY screen buttons, hard keys will still use originally defined B&O codes.

I have download this file and tested it and I can confirm that it works.

In version 3.0 the IR and IR long Tab will not be visable for added 3rd party products that's why any hard key assigned needs to be done in the created XML file prior to adding to your configuration.

Below is a screen shoot of the emulator clearly showing the RAW codes being sent. I can only assume that you were using the hard keys which will send B&O codes or you have selected the PUC file. Make sure you select the file from the OTHER tab in the tool.

    Regards Keith....

And you use one found on the forum page : http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/p/26627/205791.aspx#205791
