Beogram 8000 goes wild after a few seconds

    Hi,

I am new on this forum, and must say it looks very good. I am repairing/ servicing an old Beamaster 8000, Cassette player, and...the very nice Beogram 8000. They are from wifes grandfather (lucky man!).

Now after pressing turn it starts to turn, but after a few seconds it spins wild!!! (like 78 recordplayer). I read some post about the tacho disc, but that is already from metal, and still in good shape. I also read about some cap replacements (where can I achieve them?).

    Anybody some other suggestions?

    Regards,

    Jan

These are very complex beasts. A capacitor kit would be a good place to start and can be obtained from Martin - Dillen on site.
