I have a bright red Beovision MX2000 in the back room that I really like. The picture isn't up to modern standards but it is good enough given the fact I only use it occasionally.
They are getting quite old now and should be available cheaply if you can find one, but they still look modern. Mine cost £20 on eBay.
Depends on what sources you watch, but I have both MX2000 & MX4002 - and for RGB signals (like you'd get from an STB) the 2000 actually wins! It is quite clearly sharper, most prominent in score & playtime graphics in sports programs. Of course the MX2000's are all quite old now, and the end results depends greatly on how much life the tube has seen. My 4002 can be set much brighter before getting blurry. A 2000 will most probably need colour balance adjustments as well by now.
I paid 31 euros for mine, externally near mint (and also internally, once I fixed a number of bad solder joints and did the adjustments...). It's white and came with a white Video Terminal as well
The biggest problem with an MX2000 is of course that the remote control is not compatible with modern kit. I'd expect it also to use much more power on standby due to the large primary transformer.
