    Face-lift for BeoLab 2500

Does anybody know where I can find the itemnumber for the face-lift-kit to the BL2500?

So I can use the metal frets that were introduced  2001.

I thought I needed a new frame and some screws to fit the alu frets, but my dealer got me the hole speakerbuffel.

So I have to assemble the two speakercones, and put them in the new speakerbuffel - is that right???

Yes, you have to virtually disassemble the whole thing to fit the new baffles!  The drivers do need to come out and be re-mounted.

I must admit i never read the instructions and this one got me too the first time.. Laughing

I have done that with mine, is fairly easy to do, took less then an hour. Biggest problem was to find a matching screwdriver, the screws are sort of funny so my standard set did not work and it took me 3 trips to my hardware store.

The problem is, the BL2500 are off the market and the frets are very hard to come by, your dealer can get the item numbers of the frets and baffle kit out of the service manual.

I know somebody has an instruction paper, it was supposed to be in the members only section but I cant find it. Your dealer can look up the parts for you though ......

its well worth the efford .. I have my BL2500 for 11 years and love them more then ever ...

    Cheers

I've never seen that one, but I'd be surprised if they were anything else than Torx T15/T20/T25 that B&O has used since the early '90s.

Buy a decent tool/bit kit and you'll never want to see another Phillips head again...
