In a home setup, the issue is that you could not be in front of the TV : if you sit in front of such a screen you get a mixed image of the two sources... Not very interesting.
If you display the same source on both directions, you get a viewable front image, that corrects the issue a little bit.
But the other issue is that by using this system, the resolution of each image is half the screen resolution.
Last point : when using this system and sitting in front, with a dual source, you get a 3D image, without special glasses. The effect is quite cool, but picture quality is really not perfect, and you have to sit at the right position AND the right distance (which depends on your eyes spacing)...
