Following on from the lively thread about US/rest of world time display issues, I thought some of our American friends might be interested so see that B&O has been receptive to customer demands to display the time on US Avants in a more simplistic and child-friendly format. Below is a typical Avant pre-upgrade, displaying the time in the annoying 24h format as used in the 'old world':

...and below is the Avant post-upgrade, showing clearly that the 12h format can indeed be accommodated (huzzah!):

Apparently the new Beotime will use the same format to display 12h time formatting for the US export market. Auto transmission and climate control will, sadly, not be options :(

OH NO!! The clock on my wrist is based on the 12 hour concept, too.  If someone asks me the time I'll  just show them my wrist clock and let them figure it out, don't want to seem old world.

Fortunately my Festina wrist chronograph has a small 24 hour dail in the upper right part...

Actually my parents once had a Peugeot 306 Diesel (a very non-US car, no aircon of automatic transmission) with 12 hour digital clock only... I ascribe that to French laziness...
