    Automatic lift for BV 4-65

    Hi all

Just got this video from linctronic. Apparently they made a custom  BV 4-65 lift for a customer. What do you think?

I think it is way to noisy and not very elegant!!

    Terrible!

I thought it was too noisy when only the floor was opening... I got scared once the TV started moving! Laughing

Why would you want to hide Beo stuff anyway?

The mechanism probably needs some refinement but I thought the concept was a good one.

People who have that type of decor usually dont want to have ultra-modern A/V equipment on show except for private viewing.

Personally, I dont like B&O in these type of settings - ruins the chintz effect of the neo-Regency furnishings. however, I definately dont like people who (in any setting) put a plasma (B&O or not) over a mantle-piece/fireplace.

The reverse could be said for contemporary type livingroom where B&O really does lift the room decor and should imo be shown/amplified/highlighted.

Ouch. I usually get bored on TV in less time than it took for that one to come up!

Could save you a lot of money. You could use ONE Beovision as master TV downstairs in the livingroom AND as link TV upstairs in the bedroom

Should the option setting be changed then.....??

I was watching it with my earphones(formerly known as A8), and man I got a chock. The noise is horrible, how could anybody be satisfied with this. And the place looks quite expencive, so the people should be able to afford something good.

I like the idea though, and I did something similier at a friends house, only with the 42". We used hydrolics, and there were almost no noice. But to be honet, they never use it, it's always up, and their kids toys accedently keeps falling down to the hole, eventhough it is "coverd".

    hi Everybody,

We have placed the BeoVision 4 65 here. And about the comments about the noise of the lift i agree totally that it's to much. The motor witch is downstairs has to be isolated te reduce the noise.

The lift was already in place before we met the customer. The lift is created for a Panasonic 100 inch. But the customers viewing distance is 4/5 meters so that screen was too big. They chose this lift system because this can lift 300kg because that's the weight of the panasonic 100 inch. If we where involved from the start we would have chosen another lift system for a 65 inch television witch made less noise. i know that there are standard lifts for 65 inch televisions for floor mounting (future automation eg) but that was not an option for us because the lift already was installed.

But Michael from lintronic did a great job to made special firmware for the realy 208 box to get the timings right. When the carpenter has isolate the lift engine (he will doing this next week) i can send a new video to the ones who like it. Please let me know.
