    DVD1 and MX6000 compatibility

    Hi there

Just to be 100% shure, can I use the DVD1 with my MX6000 television? A dealer near me got one for sale for £250 so i am a little tempted, although it will not match the design of my VX7000.

The dealer booth got the DVD1mk1 and mk2 for sale, which is the best? Beocentral suggestes that the mk1 has a better cabinet for the Phillips drive, while the mk2 got a less good cabinet and a Panasonic drive

    Hi:

I would suggest MK2 as it is less old and as such you will probably get more life out of it. However, I would not buy either personaly as they are both quite old in DVD terms and the MK1 especially is ripe for getting unreliable.

If I was going to buy one, I would suggest that the Panasonic drive would be more reliable. However, this is just an opinion and open to debate no doubt.

    I have used a DVD1 with a MX6000 no problem.

I would not buy a Mk1 as those that I have had have been unreliable and have cost me quite a bit of money in warranty repairs.

The Mk2's seem to be more reliable but £250 does seem rather a lot of money for a £20 DVD player with a fancy user interface!

    Regards Graham

True... the idea is also cooling on me. It is just first time i have seen the DVD 1 for £250, usually they are more expensive than that, at least here in DK. I got a working pansonic DVD player, so perhaps i should just live with that untill i can afford a used BC2.

    Thanks guys
