Connection for Beolab8000 to Beocenter 2

I got both from the Ebay and bought powerklink cables from sound haven.

I connect my Beolab 8000 via 2 Powerlink mark 3 to Powerlink socket then to Beocenter 2. But it does not work in DVD or Music CD, not sound were coming out from the speaker.  I have already set the DVD sound to PL/SCART.

I try phono and it works.... Please guide!!!

As both BeoLab8000 speakers and the BeoCenter2 socket box only have one Powerlink socket, you will need a Powerlink splitter to enable both speakers to be connected.

When you select a source are either of the speakers switching out of stand-by? (Red led turning green).

Have you set the switch in the BeoLab8000 speakers to left and right respectively? If you leave them both set to "line" they won't work on Powerlink.

When the BeoLab8000's switch out of stand-by the lights should turn from red to green. I beleive that if they are yellow/amber it indicates a fault in the speaker. I am not technical enough to suggest what the fault may be.  You could try switching the power off for an hour and try them again to see if they have re-set.  I had a problem with a pair of BeoLab3 speakers, I left them powered off for a while and that cured the problem.

    Good luck.

As happy to try to assist as I am, if you have tried the basics and it does not work then you need to go back to the  Ebay Seller - how did you pay?  Quite simply phono sockets are for the line inputs, powerlink sockets need to set as L/R.

Firstly I would use one cable with one speaker (without the splitter) and break down what works and what doesn't, that may give you a clue - i.e. as efficient as Steve is you need to eliminate faulty cables and a faulty t-splitter.

I would need to know your setup - which TV are you using for example - and for future reference how did you solve your initial problem?
