Beomaster 5500 and 4 Ohm Speaker Compatability

I have a Beomaster 5500 and am looking at upgrading the speakers. Issue is that the ones I am contemplating buying (Non B&O) are 4 Ohm impedance. Has anyone tried 4 Ohm speakers on a BM5500? Would I risk damaging the amp? Does the amp have a safety cut out? etc.

They will work fine - the 5500 is used in MCL systems which will often result in difficult loads. Remember also that the 4 Ohm rating is just an estimate - all speakers have different values at different frequencies. Which speakers are you planning to use? The efficiency is probably more relevant anyway.
