beosound 5 design - fancy light switch..?

the beosound 9000 makes friends and visitors go "wowwwwww, that is so cool !!" when they see that clamp fly up and down.

i'm not convinced that the beosound 5 is anywhere near as impressive. if you're not into hifi or b&o i wonder if it looks like a fancy central heating control or a fancy light switch from a distance - that's what a few friends have said...?!

    You're right !

    It's not that impressive.

But... all the family and friends ask about it and when i say "come on and touch it"...

They all touch the first wheel and suddenly the cover appears and the all say : "Haaa"

B&O is magic... Yes - thumbs up

As with things that were once akin to wizardry, the BeoSound 9000 has been around so long (and so often imitated) that it fails to excite most visitors.

The BeoSound 5 looks so enticing sitting there with its glossy black screen and, as Steph said, when people spin the wheel and see covers or titles spin around so smoothly and mechanically rendered it's love at first sight.

I personally love my BeoSound 5 in ways I've never loved my BeoSound 9000!

There is scarcely anything in this world that some man cannot make a little worse and sell a little more cheaply. The person who buys on price alone is this man's lawful prey. - John Ruskin
